Gone are the days of ‘Load Shedding’

With the installation of new generators on sister islands Carriacou and Petite Martinique, just off the North Eastern coast of mainland, Grenada, Grenlec is bringing the comfort of electricity to more homes and businesses everyday. Today a reliable and adequate energy supply is of critical importance. A USD$18.6 million dollar bond was given to Grenada Electricity Services Ltd. on December 21,2001 to fund the purchase of a new 7.45 megawatts power generator and other projects. Which will lead to increased capacities and efficiencies at Grenlec. This will result in a more solid positioning of the company for growth and development.
