GRENLEC gives electronics to enhance human development

 

 

GRENLEC on Monday15 May, 2006 gave to institutions involved in influencing young lives, ten thousand dollars worth of electronics in order to make the job easier and more effective.

 

The handing over ceremony took place at the Company’s head office on Halifax Street.

 

The General Hospital received a computer system and licensed software along with a combination television VHS and DVD player both for the Maternity ward.(obstetrics and Gynecology)

 

 

 

The largest institution of its kind, Green Street Pre- Primary, received four radio and CD players as audio learning aid to serve all the classes of the school.

 

The River Road Pre School was given a television to help with audio visual skill development.

 

 GRENLEC says the intention is to equip those involved in the moulding of lives, with usable technology of strong human development impact.

 

 

Head of the gynecology and obstetrics ward, Dr. Magurite Joseph spoke of the need for the gift at this time to assist with record keeping by staff and with patient education. 

 

 A contribution of paint to improve the appearance of newly completed work on St Andrew’s Secondary School was also donated.
